Spending Money in Orlando?

We are scheduled to be in Orlando from 2/18 to 2/22. I am questioning how much spending money - cash to bring along??? or how much we will use our Credit Cards? Food and snacks are my big question - prices? what to plan for? We are a family of four, planning to do Disney most days and our Park Tickets have been purchased already. Any thoughts?

if eating at the parks budget for approx $7 each for lunch, drinks can be expensive about $4 for bottle of water so we bought ours from supermarket and prefilled with juice and then froze them over night for the children to have with them, you can then also refill the bottles from the water fountians around the parks before the ice melts to keep a cool drink going, gifts and things can be expensive aswell so we budget down to $25 each per day then if we saw a big thing we wanted we would go back the next time and get it also the children have there own money and this gives them the pleasure of spending it on what they want and also takes the pressure of you by them keep having to ask you for money.

evening meals depends on where you are going to eat out at so budget at about $70 for the 4 of you each night then this way any money thats left from this budget can be saved and the split up at the end of the holiday between each of you as a bonus.

hope this helps you enjoy your holiday have fun..

thanks for the info! What about Credit Card vs. Cash? any preferances

To get an idea of what meals will cost go to allearsnet.com . Souvenires, go to disneydirect.com the clothes and items will cost about the same in the parks. If you are paying cash for your vacation debit cards can be used everywhere or take travelers checks.

Another idea, if you are staying on property, is to have charge privileges activated on your room key. Then you can use your room key in place of a charge card at most shops and restaurants (a few of the free standing carts and vendors will still require cash, but most of them are card friendly). The best thing about this is you get a itemized statement right away when you check out, and you don%26#39;t run the risk of losing your credit card while you%26#39;re out in the parks (you%26#39;d have to have your room key with you anyway!). You can request a specific limit, or they will set one they feel is reasonable (I%26#39;ve had $1000 to $1500 for a ten day trip). Just another option to consider. If you don%26#39;t want charge privileges on the room key, make sure you let them know when you check in and they will mark them ';not valid for charging';.
