What should I pack? Whats the weather like?

Hi Im going to Orlando next week... cant wait my 1st trip to USA!!!! What is the weather like out there at the moment. What sort of clothes should I pack????

What should I pack? Whats the weather like?

The Southeast U.S, including FLA, is having a cool spell right now and looks as if it will last through the next week or so.

Pack both warm and cool weather clothes which you can layer. Mornings and evenings may be chilly, while mid-day will be warmer. Just in case, be sure to have some rain gear too.

To give you an idea, this week%26#39;s temps in FL are lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s.

What should I pack? Whats the weather like?

Thank u 4 your help... I always have bad luck with weather on holidays so im not surprised they are having a cool spell!!! Only got 20 kgs of luggage, which is a BIG issue for me, especially as im gonna have to take jumpers as well as my anorak!!! thanks for your help.

the average temperature for this time of year is 74 degreese...i have been looking myself b/c i am going to florida the 17th-25th and by the 15th the tem. is in the 70s and before that the temp. high was in the high 60s...at night it was between 40 and 50...i hope this helps!

Your best bet is to dress in light removable layers, so you are prepared for anything. Bring some short sleeved polos or t-shirts, some long sleeved button shirts or light weight sweaters or sweatshirts, and a jacket (one with a removable liner is even better). That way, if we get one of our heat waves or cold waves, you%26#39;re ready for it.

Cazz....We always travel light, here is what we take, it all fits into a medium gym bag that is with-in the carry on luggage size.

3-short sleeve shirts

3- shorts

1- long sleeve shirt

1- Long pants (not jeans)

3- Sets of underware/socks

1- swim suit

1- gym suit

1- extra pair of sneakers/shoes

and there is still room for odd and ends, like hair dryer, combs, etc.

On the trip to Orlando we wear, jeans, long sleeve shirt, light jacket, sneakers, socks/underware.

This will give you 3 sets each for warm/cool weather.

This only works if you have access to a washer and dryer.

Thank-you so much for your tips. I%26#39;m gonna keep my fingers crossed the temp will rise!!! We always go on beach holiday so its so easy to pack....

Ive taken on board the tip to layer sounds a good idea if the weather may be unpredictable (plus its a reason to go on a shopping trip tommorow!). However I will try and pack lighter (thanks tprpsp i%26#39;ll see if i can do it!) this year so I have room to take stuff back...!!!

Right now we%26#39;re getting a cold spell. It%26#39;s 2:30 am Saturday night and the winds are picking up here in Orlando and the temp is dropping. Sunday is only supposed to be 53 degrees. Sunday night we have a freeze warning, even for all of Central Florida (unusual). The remaninder of the week will be cool also...sorry.

Cazz we have just arrived back in the UK this morning and believe me the weather in orlando is glorious compared to 3 degrees at manchester this morning.

Although there is a cool spell at the moment I think it affects travellers from the UK less. Travelling around the parks for the last 2 weeks we had shorts and t shirts on 90% of the time. The weather looks like getting warmer next week according to the reports on tv and on the internet weather channels.

Unless you are a sunworshipper looking for serious tanning I think you will be fine. Some very good bargains to be had on sweatshirts/jumpers etc at the moment over there due to coming to the spring, so if you do need an extra layer that you have not taken with you it will not cost a lot.

Your first trip will be enjoyable whatever the weather.

Enjoy

Hi

We%26#39;re in Florida every December/January for four weks. The weather can be 50 degrees at eight a.m. and rise to 75 by 11. That s Winter in Florida. Why not do as we do.Dress up warm for the flight...at least three laters... Travel with a carry on case on wheels and include a soft folded bag inside.Once in Orlando visit Vineland mall/Belz Mall and so many other outlets and kit yourself out for buttons! The only thing that is more expensive than in the U.K. is swimwear. So fill your carry-on with bikinis and get the best bargains on the planet. No need to worry about 20 kilo limit!
