Food Courts at Port Orleans Riverside and French Quaters?

We are going in April to Disney...yeah. We have decided to stay at the Port Orleans, not sure which one yet. How are the food courts and these resorts? Are they kid friendly with chicken, burger, fries and pizza or is it more towards the southern culture with the spicey food. The disney website doesn%26#39;t offer much info on this. Thank you.

I%26#39;ve stayed at Port Orleans two years ago, and I remember the food court serving the kid friendly stuff like burgers and pizza. There didn%26#39;t seem to be anything cajun at all. I also remember the food at the food court not being particulary good. There%26#39;s an excellent web site called allearsnet.com which has menus for most of the restaurants at Disney World, including the resorts. Here%26#39;s a direct link to the menu at the food court: http://allearsnet.com/menu/men-ccld.htm

Yes the food court at Port Orleans Riverside is very kid friendly. We thought the food was good, nothing to write home about though. When we were there, there was a microwave (maybe a couple) that you could use to heat food up. So if the kids didn%26#39;t eat all of their food I was able to refrigerate it in our room and heat it up later as well as any other microwavable items.

I stayed at Disney%26#39;s Port Orleans French Quarters in late nov.05 and found that they did a great job of having all the kid friendly foods pizza, burgers, fries ect. as well as the cajun food you would expect at that hotel.

First of all, you will LOVE Port Orleans. It is a great resort. Riverside section is our personal favorite, but it is just a matter of taste. Both are great.

The food court has kid friendly items, but as others have said it is just a food court. Don%26#39;t forget that the great thing about PO is the quick and easy boat launch to Downtown Disney where you have many dining options. We mainly just went to the food court for breakfast and did lunch/dinner in the parks/other resorts/Downtown Disney.

Have a great time.

We stayed here last year and the year before. We love the place. The food court has alot of variety, but wasnt the greatest. We really enjoyed making reservations for breakfast and dinner at riverside. taking your car our the boat was fun. Ask for a room by pool or the ferry boat. Its very pretty around there, but very convenient to everything. Its worth buying the mugs so you can fill up on your drinks, but cant fill up on milk or juice, just pop or coffees. Its worth getting a fridge also. Disney Property has gas stations with convenience stores in them. They wer%26#39;nt very expensive at all. We would get milk and muffins and snacks and thing there. have fun Britana

We stopped at POFQ and loved it!!Try the beignets in the food court a delightful treat! There is a boat that takes you to Downtown Disney at night and this is a nice relaxing trip. POR is a larger complex but equally as good. Hope you have a great stay!
