Yes, it is run by the US Military on land leased from Disney for US Military personnel, and certain government personnel.

Sarah, If your husband is here on Special Orders then you are able to stay at SOG if not then the resort is closed to those who are not US Military and/or DOD employees.S-M

Sarah, this is something we also looked into, and unless you are serving US forces then you are not entitled to stay on site at SOG. Even if your hubby has spent time in Iraq with coallition forces you still cant stay there. You would need to be on an exchange posting, or under SO%26#39;s to qualify, unfortunately a regular 4-6 month detactchment doesnt count either.

However, Seaworld and Busch gardens still offer free entry to their parks and have extended it through 2006, just make sure you take your 1250 card and up to 3 dependants can get in free too.

There is also a Navy depot in Orlando that sell discounted tickets for all military personel, you can get really good deals on stuff like dinner shows etc, usually about 25% cheaper than buying them through a regular vendor.

And dont forget to check out your forces discount book! 10% discount on all BA/Virgin flights, discounted parking at gatwick, discount on hotels etc, it all adds up :)

Thanks everyone i wasnt sure and it isnt very specific wether just Us forces
