What to do in WDW?

We are a family of 7. 4 teens, 2 girls, 2 boys, and one 4 yr. old girl. Staying @ Pop Century, 6 nights, Oct. 8 - 15. Need some kind of game plan. What are the must see/do%26#39;s ? What are the crowds like during Oct.? Planning on Park Hopper, Magic + and dining. The surf lessons @ Typhoon Lagoon look interesting. What%26#39;s good for adults night out? Just need some general info.

Sorry to sound unhelpful but it is impossible to answer your questions.

So much depends on your likes/dislikes. What mode of travel you intend to use. How long you plan spending at each atttraction etc etc etc.

My best and only advice is search the websites. Read a few books - recommend Unofficial Guide to WDW. Discuss with your family members.

October is a good time to visit. Lighter crowds and gernerally fine dry weather.

What to do in WDW?

Hi KDR

I have been to WDW 8 years in a row and will be there again at Chritmas. It is simply the best place for a vacation.

With the make up of your group and only 6 nights I would recommend including the following:

Spend afternoons in the pool. The parks are a pain by 2pm, Get there early, do 4 or 5 hours and head off.

Magic Kindom - GET OUT OF BED EARLY and be there for magic hour. With young kids head straight through the castle to what I would call the %26#39;young%26#39; section. This is a day 1 requirement. Tip - get a stroller at the entrance.

Book the OHANA feast at the Polynesian. It is great fun. Time your visit so that you can walk down to the beach afterward and walk the fireworks in the Magic Kingdom across the lake. they have little speakers so you can hear the spoken bits and music and the view is great - best bit is avoiding the crush after the fireworks are finished.

Do not miss Typhoon Lagoon but go at opening time is the weather is good.

Go to Epcot early and then head out of the exit next to Great Britain and head for Disneys boardwalk and take a surrey bike around the lake and stop for an ice creme behind the stormalong bay pool at the Yatch and Beach. the place is called beaches and cream. Order the %26#39;kitchen sink%26#39; for the entire family (one between you all). It actually arrived in a little kitchen sink!! It basically has a bit of everything in it. Actually cheaper than getting a small ice creme each.

See Tarzan and Lion King shows at Animal Kingdom - fantastic

Go to the Animal Kingdom Lodge - wonderful hotel. Have dinner at the Boma buffet. Great prices for kids. After this go outside at the back. they have a litle walk where you can see the animals. If you go after dark there are cast members with night vision goggles so you can have a peak. It great and everybody gets a turn.

TIP - book your eventy meals eg BOMA on the hotel phone - get a disney dining reservation - big help with a a big group.

There are many wonderful things to do but these are some that have left lasting memories and show the best of Disney.

Enjoy

I%26#39;ll just highlight the most important parts of Jordan%26#39;s post: Get there early, get there early and finally, get there early. You will accomplish more in the first two hours after opening than in the entire rest of your day.

To echo another point as well, Boma is fantastic. Remember to do dining reservations at any sit-down restaurant you can.
