The planned beach renourishment has started on Captiva and will move down to Sanibel. Those of you with beach front accommodations over the next few weeks be sure to ask the property managers if this rather noisy, but essential, activity will be in your area. I have no information beyond it has started at the beach by the Mucky Duck. If anyone has more info, please post. Thanks!
Beach RenourishmentI have heard that the Captiva beach renourishment will last probably through November and maybe into December, weather permitting. The only part of Sanibel that I know that is getting the beach renourishment is up at Blind Pass. Just remember if you have reservations on Captiva to ask whomever you rented the property from what the deal is.
