Weather and Crowds at WDW during Thanksgiving??

Hi, folks!!

This topic was briefly covered earlier on in this forum but thought I%26#39;d try and get some more thoughts from everyone....how are the crowds at Disney over Thanksgiving Weekend? Looking to stay 4 nights starting Wed-Sun or something along those lines, staying on-site. Are we better off trying to come down perhaps the week before or a week later? Thanksgiving would be nice b/c you get those 2 days off as %26#39;freebies%26#39; from work....but flights, etc. are certainly more expensive that week and I really don%26#39;t know how bad the crowds would be.

Also, typically what is appropriate dress at that time of year in Orlando, still shorts and perhaps t-shirt w/ long-sleeve shirts or should we stick with jeans/pants? I wasn%26#39;t sure what the temperature usually is, we%26#39;ve really only been there during the spring %26amp; summer months.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!!

The weather will be fabulous compared to Chicago in November! (Except we don%26#39;t have the season fall, which I miss!) We can sometimes wear shorts at Christmas! You will most likely get nice warm weather in the day and cooler evenings. Not cold though! Bring a mix of shorts and pants. You will most likely need jacket/pants for at night and you MIGHT want to wear shorts all day at the parks.

I%26#39;ve always thought the best time of the year to go to the parks is September - December. Crowds are not bad and it is not too hot anymore! I went to Sea World Labor Day weekend and was pleased that the park wasn%26#39;t too crowded and lines were not horrible either.

Thanks kpcloud9! We%26#39;re looking forward to the trip and hope that we get a good break with the crowds! Thanks again!

Last year we flew down the Mon before Thanksgiving, and back the Fri right after (stayed 4 nights). Got very good rate - Continental from Newark. Parks were not too bad - reasonable crowds, except Animal Kingdom was a horror. You couldn%26#39;t even walk... and forget trying to get on a ride. We just left. Weather was good, although a little cool for swimming.

Oh, I forgot to say we had hopper passes, which I think is a must for any holiday week. So if a given park is too crowded for you, you can just leave and go somewhere else.
