I heard about a

site that reviewed their top three hotels, fishing, golf and so on. (www.cdnk.com) I agree with the fishing but the golf, I%26#39;m not so sure about. Any ideas about that? We%26#39;re looking to travel there and would love to find a great course. Thanks.

Personally, no I don%26#39;t agree with the review. Seascape is the worse course in Destin. The second on isn%26#39;t in Destin . Regatta however is a nice course.

Thanks so much, thats very helpful. As far as hotels go, which would you recommend and why? Thanks for your time.

Hidden Creek is good as is Regatta and the Raven. Try the Moors over by Milton. They play a Champions Tour event there and it%26#39;s a great course. Bluewater Bay%26#39;s revamped course (forget which one it is, they have 2) is also nice. Shalimar near FWB was where they played a US Open qualifier a few years back and is respectable. Golf Garden is an executive course witha driving range but it%26#39;s for hackers. Haven%26#39;t played Indian Bayou in a while but it too was nice.

What are you looking for in a hotel? Give me an idea of your likes and dislikes.

Are you coming here only to play golf, or to enjoy the beaches, fish?

Honestly, most of the rentals here are condos, all sizes.

Wait, maybe I read your question wrong. You wanted to know if I agreed on the reviews on the web site.

Yes and no. Sandestin is a HUGE resort with 4000 homes. Their reveiw isn%26#39;t remotely correct. Sandestin offers condos, homes for all budgets, from small to luxury. All are fully furnished. The only hotel on Sandestin property is the Hilton and I would pay close attention to the repeated negative remarks.

I would never recommend the Holiday Inn or Pelican Beach.

As for the fishing, they recommend the Sunrise Charters. Sunrise is the best boat in Destin to go on, that is not a charter service that is the name of a Boat. There are four other charter boats and two party boats affiliated with the same owner. But, if you can book on the Sunrise, BY ALL MEANS, do it!

I did not recgonize the website or the style, so I looked up the owners of the site and they are out of South Carolina. Not Destin locals.

If you post another question, I imagine that several locals will respond.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the help. When we do get the cash together we will certainly take your advice. You were unbelievably helpful and informative. Take care all.
