Fawlty Towers or Luna Sea - Cocoa Beach

Hiyas - im flying into Orlando on the 12th of July and then out from Miami on the 15th to UK. Plan to see nasa and then hire a car to make it down to south beach fro one night - probably staying a night in Palm Beach.

I%26#39;ve only got one night in Cocoa Beach and plan to use the Nasa Maximum access pass to try to see nasa over the two half days i%26#39;ll be there. Maybe stay for one more night and then do the drive right down to miami

Has anyone heard much about ';Fawlty Towers Motel'; it is not reviewed on this site. How does it compare with the Luna Sea. That is the budget i%26#39;m looking at $80 p/n and these two seen to be mentioned a lot in that price range.

Cheers n beers!

Paul

Sorry, can%26#39;t help you with the Cocoa motels. I do have a suggestion or 2 regarding the rest of your trip.

If you plan on going to South Beach - I sure wouldn%26#39;t stay in Palm Beach - It%26#39;s at least a 1 to 1.5 hour drive from Palm Beach to Miami%26#39;s South Beach in the best of I-95 traffic and I avoid I-95 as much as possible. I-95 can be and very often is a roadway frought with delays due to accidents, or other reasons. Suggest staying in the Ft. Lauderdale area or Miami Beach area if you%26#39;re going to South Beach. You%26#39;ll be closer to the Miami Airport as well.

Allow a full day for the best KSC Visitors Complex visit experience. Check with them regarding your plans for 2 half days - perhaps they%26#39;ll let you back in on the same Access ticket.

Thanks endevour

I%26#39;m staying at palm beach at a friend%26#39;s place so gotta make the drive in one hit. can%26#39;t turn down a night in palm beach now can i? hehe

The driving is no problem for me though, i live 270 kms from the capital city of my state and a drive that length doesn%26#39;t phase me at all, infact i%26#39;ve driven a lot in other states of usa so i factored the experiences in as part of the fun ;) But thanks for the tip on I-95.

In south beach we%26#39;re booked in to the clay hotel for the night before we fly out so atm it is:

1st night: Fawlty towers - coccoa beach

2nd night: Private accom - palm beach

3rd night: Clay hotel - south beach

4th night - on a plane somewhere over the atlantic ;)

any further tips would be greatly appreciated.

I%26#39;ve stayed at the Luna Sea in %26#39;94, %26#39;96, %26#39;97, %26#39;01, and %26#39;03. I love it there, and look forward to staying there whenever I%26#39;m in Cocoa Beach. The staff is friendly (only one minor exception, and I got that resolved), I enjoy their free breakfast offerings, I love the pool, they seem to take real pride in clean rooms, and it is a special treat to get up in the middle of the night and go stand outside your room and look at how the parking lot looks under the night lights. Their street sign is beautiful.

I have always wondered about the Fawlty Towers, though. It seems really unique, and their Web Site is interesting.

Poor you ! only just read your querie. I checked out as soon as i saw the room and pool etc.Took quite some doing to get our money back too ! Lost 1 nights cost in the end . booked in the best western down the road. loads cheaper, cleaner and stacks more facilities. Web site sounded fantastic , what a con. Hope you did not go there in the end . Good luck and cheers.

I have no experience with either the Fawlty Towers or LunaSea, but I can recommend the Sea-Aire. Inexpensive and on-the-beach.
