We are ready to book our vacation to Disney. We are staying at Port Orleans Riverside. Can we request a certain building when booking with Disney directly? What building should we request to be near the pools/food areas but not too noisy? Any help or suggestions appreciated!
Requesting certain buildings at a resort
I believe you can request a building, but I am not sure how good they are at granting those requests. In any case, Buildings 14,15 %26amp;18 Allagator Bayou, are the closest to the main building. I looks like 15 is set back, 14 %26amp; 18, you might be on the main path. We loved it there last year, but our biggest problem was being too far from the action. With 3 kids, it could be a 15 min. walk to our building. If you want more info, go to allearsnet.com or wdwinfo.com (i think those are the sites. wdwinfo has maps of all of the resorts.
Requesting certain buildings at a resort
Any time you make a room request, it is just that, a request. The best way to try to get your request fulfilled is to have it on your reservation in advance of check in. Since they start pre-assigning rooms in advance, requests on your reservation will be taken into account ahead of requests made at check in. However, if you have requested a certain building, and it%26#39;s already 100% booked by the time they start pre-assigning your room, there%26#39;s not a lot they can do. I usually have some sort of room request every time I go, and so far I%26#39;ve been fortunate enough that I%26#39;ve had them all fulfilled. Keep it simple though. If you want a particular view, specify the view, not the building. If you want a particular building, be less specific about floor or view. The simpler the request is, the easier it is to get it. Typically the only thing they will guarantee is smoking or non-smoking.
