theme park questions

hello,

i will be spending about a week seeing both unviersal studios and wdw and had a few questions about the parks.

1. from the way the express pass is talked about at universal studios, it makes it seem as if you can only use it once per ride. is this true?

2. is there any really good place to get discount tickets for either park?

3. is access to downtown disney included in the regular disney world tickets? is anything restricted?

4. are any of the venues restricted in universal%26#39;s citywalk if you just have the regular ticket?

thanks a bunch, happy vacationing!

theme park questions

1. If you%26#39;re staying at Universal, and using your room key as the Express pass, you can use it more than once, but there is some sort of limit of how many times you can do it per hour. Not sure about the ride coupons that you buy, or the express pass that you don%26#39;t pay for.

2. Check back posts for info on discounted tickets. My take, however, is you might find them at 10% off at best in a legit, no strings attached deal. Deeply discounted tickets are either an iffy proposition or a scam, or they%26#39;re connected to going to a timeshare presentation. But check the prior discussions for tips.

3. Downtown Disney is a public area, with shops, restaurants, and paid attractions like DisneyQuest, La Nouba (Cirque Du Soleil), and Pleasure Island, Disney%26#39;s nightclub complex. If you%26#39;re referring to admission to Pleasure Island, I don%26#39;t know about that.

4. Citiwalk is a public area like Downtown Disney, but some of the clubs charge cover charges. Don%26#39;t know if the ';regular ticket'; gives free access to cover charge clubs or not.

theme park questions

1. No, you can use the EXPRESS PASS as many times as you want, and the same goes for the FAST PASS, as well as the EXPRESS PASS PLUS.

2. NO

3. Downtown Disney (DTD) is a shopping and restaurant area and it is free just like any shopping area. Pleasure Island is also at DTD, this is free during the day when none of the clubs are open, after 7PM you got to pay to get into any of the clubs, Disney Quest and Cirque du Soleil are also located here and you got to pay to get into them.

4. CityWalk is another restaurant/club area and your Universal Ticket has nothing to do with it, some of the clubs have a cover charge after 7PM, you can pay the cover charge for the club or you can buy a ticket to get into all the clubs.

Although most of the clubs at Pleasure Island will let you pay a single admission to go into just that club, the Comedy Warehouse and the Adventurer%26#39;s Club are only accessible with the multi-club pass or by using an option on your Magic Your Way Ticket with Water Parks Fun %26amp; More options added. I know Mannequin%26#39;s has an age restriction (you must be 21 or older).

For Universal tickets, check out:

This is where I find the best pricing for Universal tickets when we go. Currently they have different options you can add to your ticket for free, such as 3 extra days to a 2 day/2 park ticket.

Maybe rules have changed, but I thought fastpass at Disney had a rule where when you use it for a particular ride, you can%26#39;t use the fastpass option for another ride until you have either gone on the first ride or if for some reason you didn%26#39;t go on the first ride, you had to wait one hour past the time of your fastpass return time.

Express Pass Plus at the Universal parks is a purchase option. You get one Express admission per Express Pass attraction. You can use the free Express Pass system as often as the system will allow which depends on how crowded the park is. On really crowded days (around the Christmas holidays for instance) they no longer operate the free Express Pass system.

Hi got back from orlando yesterday. The free express pass with ypur standard admission tickets were not used at all at any ride while we were there, which I think stinks!!

I was told that they may be used at peak times.

The paid for express plus ticket ( which I think is disgusting after the purchase of admission ) allows you only 1 ride per attraction.

Looks like universal are after more and more of your bucks all the time.

Last saturday by 11.30 am the wait time for Hulk was 60 minutes, the parks were very busy from early last week, we waited average over 30 mins and upto 60 mins for most decent rides.

Love...Yes, the fast pass system at Disney is still like that, but the question was ';Can you only use it once per ride';.

Orlando....Sorry for the posting the wrong information, Coaster is correct the Express Pass Plus can only be used once per ride, I don%26#39;t know what I was thinking because I knew that.

For info, when we were at disney last week the fastpass tickets stated that you could reuse the fastpass at a given time, which was always 5 minutes after the fisrt time slot on your ticket.

I.E you go back for your fastpass ride between 1:15 - 2:15 then you could re use fastpass after 1:20 regardless if you had or hadn%26#39;t used the ride at that time.

Hope this helps.

Beck....You were able to get a new Fastpass 5 minutes after another one? This would be great but I%26#39;m sure something was broken with the system.
