What is spring break like the week of march 20?

When is Spring Break this year?

We want to come around Easter....but do NOT want to be there when it%26#39;s gonna be surrounded by a heap of teens!

Also....where could a nice family stay that week to avoid Spring Breakers?

Teenagers even come out of %26#39;nice families%26#39;....honest. (Sometimes they just %26#39;forget%26#39;)

All the areas of Florida will be very busy....from the panhandle to Key West.

Ft Laud is not the Spring Break Capital like many years ago. Most of the teens try to get to Daytona, Panama City, Palm Springs, Newport, some areas by Ft Meyers, and if planned well enough, Cancun, Mx. But some still think the Elbo Room area is a choice location.

Also, there is no exact, specific date for Spring Break, because the most schools (I%26#39;m including colleges and universities) in the US do not always have the same week (or longer) off. So, it kind of spreads out through several weeks around the Easter Holidays.

Most very expensive hotels are shunned by the College kids.....as many would probably be perfectly happy in a tent (the guys, anyway).

Look for more expensive places. Maybe the Marriott Harbour Beach Resort, or the Atlantic. To be well away from the traffic of all the folks in S Fl during the cold months, (note, this is not just teens, but some of us old fogies) you might consider the Lago Mar.....which some TA reviews are super, others are saying some rooms need renovation....but it is still IMO, very nice.

Close by areas......Pompano Beach, Lauderdale by the Sea, Hollywood, and Deerfield might have a lot less College kids. I might have to retract the Hollywood Beach, as it is pretty nice, but much is old %26amp; could us a freshing up.(much developed in the 1920s).....and still very busy, usually with nice families from Canada (English %26amp; French), Middle Europe, and the British Isles.

Try to find a place near the beach, no matter where you pick.

I really like the area around Aruba, (end of Commercial Blvd) in Laud by the Sea.....but think it too, will be super busy....with tons of all kinds of tourists.

I think I procrastinated to long now, seems the prices jumped over the weekend! I think I missed out on the bargins now!
