I would like to plan a trip to captiva island with friends on a 50'; boat and
would like information on marinas and
resturants. Also the best way to get there
either from the gulf or the inter coastal
waterway
captiva island resturants by boat
I would suggest you contact the Harbor Masters at South Seas Resort Marina or the one at Sanibel Marina. I think they have docks large enough for a 50%26#39; boat. Most of what you%26#39;ll see on the island are shallow draft smaller boats.
You can use the South Seas Resort trolly to reach their entrance and walk to about 6 restaurants from there. Redfish Blufish is the newest and is getting excellent reviews. Key Lime Bistro and RC Otter%26#39;s on Andy Rosse Ln are good island style relaxed places. At the foot of the lane is the Mucky Duck, and English pub type place and an island institution. The Bubble Room is more famous than good IMHO, but should be seen at least. A longer walk will take you to the Green Flash. They have a dock, but I don%26#39;t think it will take a 50%26#39; boat! ;)
Right at Sanibel Marina is a little place called Grandma Dot%26#39;s Saloon. Good, simple food. Love the grilled grouper. They serve a deep dish Key Lime Pie that is really good, though not the classic filling.
Hope this helps.
