Where to go?

I am considering Florida for my next vacation but I have a list of things I want. First I want a hotel on the water, with a great beach and clear water good for snorkeling if possible. I want to rent wave runners, horseback ride on the beach, my daughter wants to swim with the dolphins and visit an amusement park for a day. I am also considering Cozumel but can not decide? Any ideas???

Where to go?

Don%26#39;t come to Key West. No ';great'; beach and no horses ro ride on the not very great beaches!

Also, no amusement parks.

Where to go?

Good grief! Sdw has is right...do NOT go to Key West. It%26#39;s a wonderful place, but not what you%26#39;re looking for.

I would look into Cocoa beach florida. It is on a pretty decent stretch of beach. It is about a 45 minute ride from disney. I was raised in central florida and can tell you the best beach is cocoa. You can do the touristy stuff like ron johns, stay in a fun hotel, and go fishing. You can get waverunners at multiple spots in cocoa. In orlando there is a dolphin encounter. It is called discovery cove. It never seizes to amaze me how people think that everywhere in florida is near a beach. Also there are resorts at disney that have ';beaches'; it depends on how authentic you want to go. From everything you are saying you want like an all inclusive maybe somewhere in the carribean. If not cocoa is a good bet. If your daughter is older and likes rides dont take her to disney she will appreicate universal island of adventure and universal studios more. It is a little less expensive and they have great kids eat free specials if you want to spend a night or two in orlando off the beach. Furthermore, I think you get more value for your money at universal. More rides, they have bars throughout the park for adults, great resturant and bars (emeril has two right within the park) and their simple park food is not too outragously priced. If you stay in one of universal%26#39;s hotels,(I suggest the royal pacifica because there is a beach and it is closest to the action) your room key is a fast pass for every ride in the park. If you are really ambitious you can probably do all of the big rides in both parks in one day.(or at least the ones you want to do the most) We have never waited more than 15 minutes in any of the fast pass lines. so to sum it all up... All inclusive in cancun or cozumel. (but flying from michigan to cancun is probably cheaper) or staying in cocoa beach for a two nights and staying in orlando for two nights. Good luck!

Thanks, that does sound like my best option right now, a couple days in orlando and then a few days at cocoa beach. Thanks for the info about the fast pass, I had no idea.
