Hi,
I am trying to coordinate a relocation to St. Augustine. I have a house that is empty and am arriving for the weekend to try to buy some of the housewares in advance. I want to buy some large area rugs. My plan is to get the rugs to the house and roll them out. This way when the furniture arrives in Feb., it can go right on the rugs. I would appreciate any suggestions as to where I can find large area rugs that are IN STOCK that I can take with me. Thanks for the help.
Question for Local Expert about Rugs
There%26#39;s a Westpoint Stevens store at the St. Augustine Outlet Mall. If you%26#39;re heading south on 95, this is the outlet mall on the right. You actually go past it, get off on 16, turn right and you%26#39;ll see the entrance. You can only enter the mall from the back. This mall is sort of split into two halves and the Westpoint store is right in the middle of the 2nd half. So after you go into the entrance, go toward 95 (the mall again sits on 95) and then turn left and parallel the mall until you see this store. It%26#39;s large. I know there%26#39;s one whole room with rugs, but I%26#39;m not sure if it%26#39;s what you%26#39;re looking for. These rugs are mostly ornamental. Are you looking for rugs that you would just use once and then discard, or do you actually want to use them in your home? If you have anymore questions, feel free to email me personally at vickisfloyd@hotmail.com. Good luck with the relocation. You%26#39;ll love St. Augustine!
Question for Local Expert about Rugs
I hope I am not too late with this-
The Oriental Rug House on Hendricks and in San Marco (right in town by the Thai restaurant called Pom) is another great rug/carpet store. He has fine fine Orientals and newer ones, and he is very nice.
We used him when we carpeted our 3000 sf house a year and a half ago.
Out on Phillips Highway-between Butler and Baymeadows you can find dozens of rug stores.. as well as furniture stores that sell rugs up towards the Avenues Mall.
Happy shopping!
thanks for the advice. I will check this store out. Regards G.
