Comfort Inn & Suites

We are planning on being in Daytona in early June. We got a rate of $110 a night for a 1 bedroom suite with 2 queen beds %26amp; sofa sleeper at the Comfort Inn %26amp; Suites. Does anyone know anything about them?

The rooms were booked through www.choicehotels.com and not directly through the hotel. (They had 2 websites with different rates for the room and I got another rate from the guy at the desk when I called -- 3 direct sources - 3 different rates.) I ended up getting the government rate by booking online through the chains website.

I couldn%26#39;t find any pictures that showed what the room looked like so I am hesitant about what we might be getting. Would I be better off booking through a private owner (Mary Motes or Stephanie Jones?) at Harbour Beach or Hawaiian Inn? Which of these is the best?

We want to keep the rate down because we are going to stay the next week in New Smyrna in a villa directly on the beach.

When did you stay there? What is nearby and how close is it to Oceanwalk %26amp; the boardwalk. Are you familiar with Sun Splash Park? Is it within walking distance to it? Thanks.

I would recommend Hawaiian Inn.

They have just done LOTS of work to the building...has a nice oceanfront pool/patio %26amp; indoor pool. Wayne----(Hawaiian Inn show owner) has a DJ there or singer always on weekends, someimes during the week.

Operating Tiki-bar....is always good.

On the Mary vs Stephanie....I know them both.

I would recommend contacting them both to see who will give the best price...

I know that Stephanie rents a few of the ';40'; units (room number) I would recommend these because they are on the south end-oceanfront and the bedroom has a private balcony.

I also prefer to not face the pool and at the Hawaiian Inn most condos face the pool...I prefer the unobstructed view of the ocean. I would try to sell you a condo myself...but I only have studios......so let us know what you are considering.

Early June is not extremely active, so you should be able to negotiate a good rate, I think Steph charges 600/week + cleaning...not sure about Mary
