Sun Viking or Hampton Inn?

We will be in Orlando for a week in June and are looking for a place to stay on the Atlantic for 3 nights before driving back to WI. This will be my kids first trip to Florida and first time they will see the ocean - they can%26#39;t wait! After reading the forums and reviews, I have narrowed the hotels down to the Sun Viking in Daytona Beach and the Hampton Inn in Daytona Beach Shores. They both have great reviews. Has anyone stayed at either one that can give any advice to help me decide which place to stay? I have 2 sons ages 9 %26amp; 8, and a daughter age 6. Thank you in advance for all your help!

Sun Viking or Hampton Inn?

I have stayed at Sun Viking before and my kids loved the waterslide, activities, and indoor pool they have there.Make sure you room has oceanfront not sideview,Sideview rooms are older with no private balconies.I think they may be higher than Hampton inn.I really love Hampton inns but I have never stayed at this one.I stay at hampton inns while traveling most of the time.I have heard great thing about the Hampton inn in DBS.I also pefer that area than were Sun viking is located.The one big plus with the Hampton would be free breakfast in the AM so you do not need to leave and go get something and then enjoy the beach.This would save time and money with for your trip.I really do not think you can go wrong with either.I think personally I would go with the one that would fit in my budget best.I hope this helps.Have a great trip.

Hey There, Yes The Sun Viking Is Nice Because Your Kids Would Love The Water Slide, But As Sweet Said The Hampton Has A Free AM Breakfeast, I Personally Find The Sun Viking Very Clean And The Service Very Polite And Helpful, But As Previously Said, I Would Go With Which One Fits Your Budget Best.

No contest - the Sun Viking.... great location, upscale personalised service, indoor and outdoor pool - its a matter of class.

Sun Viking has the better pools for the kids.

Both are on the south end of the beach....they may both be in Daytona Beach Shores.......not sure.

My place at Hawaiian Inn is at 2301 S Atlantic and Sun Viking is about 6 or 7 resorts south of us.

There is a cool place called Crabby Jack%26#39;s or Crabby Joe%26#39;s (forget which...) off Sun-Glo pier, which is south of both of these places.

My kids used to love eating there cuz the restaurant is at the end of the pier about 200 ft off land.

Make sure that you request ';Oceanfront Balcony '; when making reservations....

I am sure that both places have oceanfront and city view rooms...so do not get stuck looking at the parking lot!!!
