Will be staying at the Hilton for a few nights in April. I was wondering if anyone can give me any input on the resort and the rooms?? Don%26#39;t want to rent a car, whats in walking distance.....
Hilton Clearwater Beach
Hotel is nice, ive stayed there a few times when company was in town, try to get an ocean view room. Everyhting is walking distance as Clearwrater Beach is a small 1.5 mile long island(Beaches, Pier 60, Palm Pavilion, Numerous Shops, Frenchys, Shepards, Priate/Sunset Cruises, Fishing Charters, etc.) There is also the Jolley Trolley that takes you up and down the small strip for free. The Gulf Blvd trolley takes you from Clearwater Beach south to St. Pete Beach and all points between.

Have you read the reviews here on TA about the hilton on Clearwater Beach. Personally I think they speak for them selves. Yea, its location is convenient but thats about it.
The trolley is very convenient but I don%26#39;t think it is free. My boyfriend and I rode it - I think it was $1 a trip, or you could buy an all-day pass for a few dollars.

If you are looking for a nice place to party - I would recommend Shephard%26#39;s (I recently did a review - I was there in late January 2006). If you want quiet, there are many other hotels in the area. The Econo Lodge next door to Shephard%26#39;s looked very nice. My review includes what is in walking distance and things to do.
