Help for lodging, restaurants early March

Upcoming business trip in early March and the company is located on Phillips Hwy.

Would appreciate any help re: good lodging nearby Phillips Hwy, with consideration for Marriott / Hilton for rewards. Would consider a B%26amp;B also.

For dining, would appreciate smoke free restaurant recommendations due to health issue.

Thanks in advance, TripAdvisor folks!

Hi Spa Lady,

All restaurants in Jacksonville are smoke free. On Phillips Highway there is an Olive Garden Restaurant, Sakura Japanese restaurant (very good) and on Southside Boulevard (which dead-ends into Phillips Highway) there are several restaurants from which you can choose. In the Tinseltown Center on Southside Boulevard, consider a restaurant called 7 Bridges and another great place called the Gallery Bistro.

Keep in mind that Jacksonville is mostly suburban so you will have to drive everywhere. NYC has awesome restaurants and I%26#39;m afraid we don%26#39;t have the large choice that you may be accustomed to, however, there are some great places to eat.

If you want to venture a bit further, consider Bistro Aix, a great restaurant in our San Marco area. The hotel can give you directions or call for you.

As far as hotels, look for something in zip code 32256. This is the Baymeadows/Southside area. Lots of restaurants and fairly close to Phillips Hwy. I don%26#39;t think that there%26#39;s a Marriott or Hilton, but there%26#39;s and Embassy Suites, Doubletree and a few more reasonable places in that area.

Radisson Jacksonville - 4700 Salisbury Road

Hampton Inn Jacksonville - 4690 Salisbury Road

Embassy Suites - 9300 Baymeadows Road

Residence Inn - 8365 Dix Ellis Trail

Perhaps this will get you started. There are no B%26amp;B%26#39;s close to the Phillips Hwy area.

Hopefully this will help. Feel free to post again if you have further questions.

Thanks SO much - that was VERY helpful - wow!

I%26#39;m printing out your very helpful post, especially the heads-up on the fact that it%26#39;s smoke free dining now; that%26#39;s a big thing for me.

Thanks again!

You%26#39;re welcome! I hope you have a good time.

Philips Highway is long, but there%26#39;s a Marriot at J. Turner Butler Blvd and I-95. I-95 runs parallel to Philips. One of my favorite places to eat nearby (as you were advised, you must drive) is Lily Bistro, on Belfort Rd. It%26#39;a across from St Luke%26#39;s Hospital. Enjoy our Southern hospitality!

From Phillips Hwy you can get on Baymeadows. At the corner of Baymeadows and San Jose ( not far at all) you can go to a very good non-chain Italian restaurant called Vitos.

Across the street is the Stonewood Grill..I miss both of them :)
