Have never been to area, but looking for rental unit for week starting 3/31 or 4/1. Would like gulf beaches. Any recommendations. Two teenagers and mom and dad.
Family looking for Condo for week starting April 1Lots of great condo%26#39;s to rent and most of them are managed by realty companies - you can do an Internet search on Property Management companies in Ft. Walton/Destin area and find all sorts of condos to rent in all sorts of prices ranges. Beachs are outstanding .... set foot in that water and you are spoiled.
Family looking for Condo for week starting April 1Destin Gulfgate (about 1/2 mile to the east) is very nice and we have stayed there also. Silver shells is also nice. They have lots of units.

Oh, one more thing. The dates you gave is when the ';spring break'; high season ocurrs in Destin, so don%26#39;t be surprised at high rates and possibly low availability
Spoke with newman-dailey and was given rates between 1900-2400 for a 2 bedroom. These are at Jade East,Mainsail and Crystal Sands. Is there nothing a little more reasonable?
probably not for that period. Like I said, it%26#39;s spring break season down there. Maybe try FWB. I hear they are cheaper.
We are going the week of April 8th and found a 2 bedroom condo at Maravilla for $1300. I found it on vrbo.com. But as Baked said...it may be hard to find one at this point. I reserved mine several weeks ago and they were booking up fast.
I have a three bedroom at Maravilla 3/18-3/25 for 1200 including the administration fee. Of course that third bedroom is not a whole lot bigger than a closet!
Suma - on the beach or across the road? I think it%26#39;s across the road and that makes it reasonable. Is that time period considered ';spring break';?
All of Maravilla is across the street. Many real estate companies have listed April 1-April 30th as spring break. You need to check the rental agents site to determine what dates they are using.
Baked, Maravilla is accross the road but that is really of little consequence since the cars drive very slowly and they have to stop at pedestrian crosswalks.
If this were a family vacation we would not stay there-would probably opt for Sandestin-but this is spring break and I am the chaperon. (Yes, I appreciate your sympathy.) The girls researched thoroughly and Maravilla was the best for the money that they could find. (I also like that it is close to the outlet mall!)
I think spring break for a lot of Florida is eariler than some locations. School is out before Memorial Day so to have it much later would not make a lot of sense.
