when you buy a card you%26#39;ll have to phone an international operator, the number will be on the card. then give them the country you want to call and they will either connect you or give you a code to use and then just add the phone number you need.

We bought a GOLD card at $10 from the local petrol station and that lasted for the whole holiday. I think we got well over two hours for that money. Scrape a call number off the back and away you go. That is why we don%26#39;t take the mobile. It is a holiday and while I like to know what is going on (football, test match etc) I dont want to be on the end of the mobile lead.

It is simple to use as long as you follow the explicit instructions.

For goodness sake don%26#39;t use the telephone in the hotel room because the charges are frightening. If you do use room phone you should check there is no cost before using the phone card.

We%26#39;ve just come back. We took our Vodaphoen Tri Bands out there and we connected to Cingular AT %26amp; T. However you could not dial the UK on them for some unknown reason. Making calls in the US was fine, but telephoning back home was a no no.

I purchased a Virgin %26#39;Contact Phone Card from the Rep while out there for $15-It lasted me 2 weeks-Great Value.

You telephone the main number shown on the Card and a recorded voice will ask you to enter you PIN number which is another number shown on the card, once you%26#39;ve %26#39;scratched it%26#39; to reveal the PIN number. Once you%26#39;ve entered the PIN no, you enter the number you wish to call.

Every time you make a Call you have to go through the process of entering the Main Number, the PIN Number followed by the number you wish to call.

The same principle applies if you buy any other Phone Card out there like the %26#39;Smartel%26#39; or AT %26amp; T%26#39; ones. Some Hotels have Phone Card Machines installed and you can usually buy ones for $5, $10, $20 and so on.

One thing about these cards, is that you ill often have be cahrged a %26#39;Surcharge%26#39; of around $0.35 for each call you wish to make on top of the actual cost of the call itself, which is obviously deducted from the Value/Balnce left on your Card.

I would recommend you get a Phone Card, and keep a note of the Main and PIN number just in case you loose the Card.

Having said that, Virgin%26#39;s Phone Card was excellent value.

Vegas-Who used to be, Dracula, then a Rocket, and then The Lone Ranger, and now a Jet Fighter, is correct.

Whatever you do-Don%26#39;t use the Phone in your room-The Hotels have some odd ideas about charging you for so called, local calls out there.

Always use the Phones in the Hotel Lobby instead of the ones in the Parks etc.

Meant to say:

Always use the Phones in the Hotel Lobby instead ,and the ones in the Parks etc.

Thanks to everybody,we will be seeing our virgin rep when we get there.

No, go to the gas station our $10 card lasted a month.
