Looking for things to do on New Years Eve for my husband and I. We are bringing my mom with us to help with the kids on a 2 week vacation and New Years Eve is one of those evenings where she will have them. We like to party, in our early 40%26#39;s, and dont like the loud clubs! Blues jazz rock is more our style. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
New Years Evebump
New Years EveAll the theme parks are busy New Years Eve as you would expect.
We went to Epcot - arrived around 5pm and entered through gateway to World Showcase thinking that if things were too bad we would then spend the evening at Boardwalk and see some of the fireworks from there.
Although we did not get on many rides the atmosphere was really brilliant and hats and blowers were handed out free of charge from 6pm. There was a firework display around 9pm then a special one at midnight with a special around the world presentation.
We are glad we went and have some great memories.
If you dont want to stay at Epcot or World Showcase you could always visit a venue at Boardwalk.
Also hear Citywalk at Universal is a great place to be on New years Eve.
Also you could see whats happening at House Of Blues at Westside Downtown Disney. You may need to purchase tickets in advance.
Think your problem will not be finding something to do but rather making a decision from all the great things available.
NYE 2 years ago at Epcot- after the midnight showing of Illuminations (which was fabulous!) they kept the park open with dancing with a DJ and everything. It was pouring though, so we didn%26#39;t hang around.
