We will be arriving in Orlando at 6:00 am. Adding in shuttle bus transportation time from the airport, we should be arriving at the Polynesian by about 7:30 am. This will be in February during slow season. What are we to do with ourselves while we wait for our room to be ready. What are the chances that they will let us in early? Any suggestions?
Early AM ArrivalSince you%26#39;ll be flying with the clock, I know you%26#39;ll have little sleep when you arrive. Do contact the hotel about early check-in. If they respond with, ';You%26#39;ll have to wait till you arrive,'; ask if you can pay a fee to assure early occupancy, like a day rate.
Plan to have a nice leisurely breakfast and have a change of clothes in your carry-on bag and maybe swinsuits for using the pool. The parks may be a bit much after a sleepless night, but DTD, even Disney Quest are nice distractions if you need it. I%26#39;m sure others will have more suggestions. Good luck!
Early AM ArrivalHi Irish,
I have had some early arrivals to Disney resorts, if the room wasn%26#39;t ready, they have stored our luggage for us and we have enjoyed the facilities at the resort, grabbed something to eat and lounged by the pool. Take your suits on your carryon.
Greetings !
We arrived 4 weeks ago to Hilton in Orlando in about ten o.clock in the morning. We could not get our room until 3 PM. Bet they stored the luggage to us. And we went for breakfast and after that we visited the Mall at Millenia.
We were told that if the hotel hadnt been full we would
have been allowed in the the rooms but luck was not on our side and was fully booked.
So we waited !!!!
Peter
Thanks to all of your for your replies. It seems to me that Endeavor seems to think everyone is an idiot. I am smart enough to figure out to eat, and probably take the monorail to tour the property, make dinner reservations if needed, do some photography and I might even be smart enough to go to the parks if we all are not totally exhausted.
Basically, I wasn%26#39;t sure if the hotel would give us our tickets/passes needed to do all of the things before our actual check-in time.
I apologize to anyone who might have thought falsely that using this forum to get suggestions and minor answers to questions might be construed as a magnet for stupid people.
With a long ';red eye'; flight, I think I would book the room for the day before and just tell them I%26#39;d be arriving ';late';. It would probably be worth the extra cost to not be exhausted for the first 2 days of your holiday.
irish1, We stay Concierge at The Poly and even when getting there at 8:00am they all but one time out of numerous visits been able to get us into our room. I have always advised them of early arrival. The one time that they could not accomodate us they stored our baggage and we were free to do whatever we wished until the room was ready. They notified housekeeping that we were already there so as soon as our assigned room was vacated it was immediately cleaned. Are you traveling with young children? If so let the resort know that as well. I see no reason whether you stay Concierge or not that the resort would not move you in as soon as they can. The resort will activate your room keys so that you may have park and charging priviledges even without a room assignment.
Endeavor - In my opinion, you are defeating the purpose of this forum. If you do not want to be nice and helpful (no matter what the question is), why don%26#39;t you not answer it? What you%26#39;re doing is giving these visitors an unkind welcome.
