Has anyone been on the 2-night MV Regal cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau/Paradise Island, Bahamas?
MV Regal 2-night Bahamas Cruise
Please be really wary of this cruise! I%26#39;ve never been on it, but live in Ft lauderdale and can tell you this is a ';low end'; cruise experience to say the least. If you decide to go, you can expect a small shabby poorly maintained stateroom and very poor food. I understand decks A%26amp;B are particularly unacceptable to most people. i%26#39;m just guessing here but assuming you have been offered this as part of a deal involving a ';time share'; sales pitch! If so, do a search on this site under Ramada Plaza and you will find about 50 tales of woe from those who heard big promises. The company that promotes this by teelphone solicitation is currently being investigated by the Florida Attorney General both for teceptive telephone practices and for failing to adhere to earlier orders from thr Attorney General about their sales practices.
I would strongly urge you not to take part in this. Save a litlle more money and go with a nicer cruise line if you want to go to Nassua. Frankly, I don%26#39;t see what the draw of Nassau is anyway- it%26#39;s a very expensive place with highly overpriced ';sightseeing tours'; sold on board the ship, very overpriced taxis and not much to do except drink tropical drinks (expensive) and buy shoddy goods in their Straw Market, which is a depressing place to me because of the poverty.
Sorry to be so negative, but hoping to save you from the scams I have read about in our local paper over and over. This company disappears for a while till the heat is off and then goes at it again!
