I%26#39;m debating staying two or three nights at the Royal Pacific when i travel to Orlando on 8th Sept, but reading through the reviews, most people seem to think it%26#39;s not worth the money apart from the fact that you get to jump the queue by staying at an on-site hotel. I%26#39;ve never been to Orlando in Sept before, so i%26#39;m not sure what the queues in the theme parks are like at this time of year, so my question to those of you who have been this time of year before, are the queues so bad that it would make it worth my while to stay on-site at the Royal Pacific? Or could my money be better spent at an off-site hotel?
Universal Royal Pacific - worth it for the Express pass or...
I%26#39;ve never been in September, but here%26#39;s my spin...
We have stayed onsite at Royal Pacific in 2003 (almost new) for $99/night and 2004 for $149.00. Both times during spring break which is an incredibly busy time! I found the 2nd visit wasn%26#39;t as nice as the first - it was already looking kinda tired. I think those hotels are used hard...
While I love the theming and the convenience, when planning my 2005 trip, I couldn%26#39;t justify the price - a whopping $269.00/night!
We traveled from Disney (stayed onsite), made a point of being there for opening, and had no problem with crowds, etc. We used the fastpass system (which Disney also has), but really didn%26#39;t need to. We really wanted to get on the Mummy ride because it%26#39;s new and we hadn%26#39;t done it. You could have rolled a bowling ball down the streets at Universal. We couldn%26#39;t get over it!
Save your $, get there early (give yourself time to park and walk to the park entrance) and enjoy your day! September is much less crowded than March and we did fine!

Hi Diva,
we%26#39;ve been twice in September and never really had to queue any longer than max. 15 minutes for the most popular rides which I thought was easy! the climate is easier to handle as well (if there are no hurricanes! :) ) So ....I%26#39;d say don%26#39;t bother to pay to stay on-site IMHO xx
