I am going to Disney in a couple of weeks and will be taking my two kids (7 %26amp; 11) on my own. Obviously the 7 year old will not be big enough to go on all the rides (or may be too scared for some) is there any way around this ? I recall that there was a parent swap over area on some rides but obviously wouldnt want to leave my son unattended even if it was only for a couple of minutes.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Rides with Kids of differing ages
When you approach front of line tell the castmember you wish to switch. You can then either
a - let your older child ride first whist you look after other
b - you and older child ride together depending on what waiting area for younger child is like
Totally understand what you say about not wanting to leave younger child though - we had that problem until recently.
Bear in mind that the witing area may be some distance from where you enter/exit ride. There are often castmembers and other adults/children around but I would advise checking everything out before deciding how to play it.
It would be interesting to learn via this forum if anyone has had particularly nasty/worrying or good experiences re.this.
I have to say I get very upset when I see a parent forcing a child to do a ride they are not happy with seemingly just so they can go on it themselves. There is a big difference betwen gentle persuasion and bullying...........
