Our Itinerary, any good?!?!?!?

Going to Orlando for 9 days early in October.

Was planning to %26#39;do%26#39; Animal Kingdom and Epoct in one day

1 day in MGM

1 day at Universal Studios

1 day at IOA

half a day at Magic Kingdom

and half a day at SeaWorld.

What are your thoughts?? We are only here for 9 days and want to time to shop and chill out, as well as time to recover from nights out drinking at City Walk and Down town Disney etc!! and we then go to New York for what will be 3 hectic days!!

All help much appreciated!!

Our Itinerary, any good?!?!?!?

the half day each at Mk and Seaworld will be hard to do

but best of luck, dont under estimate how tired u will be after a full day at the parks

Our Itinerary, any good?!?!?!?

Hi there.

We put out provisional itinerary up a few weeks back. One of the things that has been suggested to us is that you really need a full day at Epcot rather than splitting it with something else.

Also, try and stay for the evening at Epcot as apparently they have the best firework show in Florida.

Enjoy your hols :-)

Sea World has some excellent rides and animal exhibits, but by for the best part of it are the shows. These kind of overlap, so it is difficult to get round in a 1/2 day. must sees are the blue horizon dolphin show, shamu, and also the sealion and otter show.

Judging by your reference to citywalk and recovery time, I assume you are travelling without children. You could get round the rides in MK in 1/2 day but IMO magic kingdom is a park to spend a day just walking around and seeing all the attractions. there are so many little bits to see and do that rushing round would not be worthwhile. If your itinery is tight I would take a full day at either SW or MK. Epcot I would agree with a previous poster, it is 1 full day. You may find that you can get in all the rides in Universal AND IoA in one day, but it would be a long day and again you will miss some of the things that make the parks worth visiting. IMO at parks like Alton Towers (in the UK) you just go from ride to ride, as there is nothing of any interest to see, but at the Orlando parks there are lots of other things going on as well.

At universal make time to see the blues brothers show.

To me all the parks mentioned would take at least a day each!

It seems to me that you might be spending quite a bit of money on Disney tickets to spend a half day in each of the parks. I%26#39;m not familair with tickets that Disney currently offers, but you might want to consider cutting back on the number of parks and spending more time in the ones you chose. If you haven%26#39;t purchased tickets yet, you might want to do a cost analysis.

Just some things to think about.

Hi Wakey,

Definitely don%26#39;t plan on doing Epcot and Animal Kingdom in one day. Epcot is a very large park. I recommend a day for each park. The only park that is a possible half day is Animal Kingdom.

Cheers everyone!

l appreciate that %26#39;our%26#39; intinery is tight and we will miss quite a bit. Unfortunalty we only have 9 days and we would prefer to %26#39;see%26#39; as much as possible, so dont really want to miss out any of the major parks!

At a push is it possible to stick to the itinerary (its only myself and girlfiend, no kids) , eg cut down on shows at seaworld, get fast track tickets etc??

Cheers again

O.K. then without children do half day Magic Kingdom and half day Animal. Definitely go to Epcot for a full day!

I think there is a bit too much in there, Remember jet lag and the heat. It is good to plan but don%26#39;t be scared to change it. I always plan and enjoy the process but rarely get anywhere near half of it done properly - that%26#39;s why we keep going back.

You will really have to prioritise and stick with your choices. There really is a lot to do and you will be knackered - so take care.

Yes, Wakey, you will be exhausted but you seem to be pushing to get it all done, which by the way is impossible in one visit and I always recommend making a list of must do%26#39;s and leave the rest for another trip.
