Anyone used the concierge service at Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Grand Floridian? Wondering if it is worth the extra money.
Concierge levelHawkshoe, we just stayed Concierge the beginning of August at AKL is there something in particular you want to know? Grand Floridian has 2 levels of Concierge you do not want the rooms in Sugar Loaf, that is ';concierge light'; and you do not receive the full benefit of concierge services.
Concierge levelYou should look at www.allearsnet.com -- there are photos and reviews of the concierge level there.
Thanks, I will check that out. I was trying to see what actual services you recieve at this level and if anyone who used it thought it was worth the extra expense.
I have 2 young children and to me it is worth every penny. The help with reservations to shows or hard to book restaurants is invaluable in my opinion. The ability to avoid the check in lines and to check in early is helpful. It is also nice to simply walk out of your room and have breakfast available as well as the snacks and light evening meal. Beverages are available throughout the day as well. If you will avail yourself of the benefits, the food offerings the booking services etc then yes you will find the extra expense worth it. Concierge rooms are located on both the 5th %26amp; 6th floors at AKL. However only the 6th floor is key access and has the lounge. If you are placed on the 5th floor you can have a trek to get to the lounge not to mention it is an open floor available to all guests. If you have children I would request a 6th floor room, there are limited rooms at that level, it is very easy to keep your children in sight if they want to run down for a snack or beverage plus only concierge guests are on the floor. The only drawback is these rooms do not face the main savannah, rather side savannahs. We did regularly see animals out our balcony even though we were on the 6th and had a side savannah view.
