Official information lists Expedition Everest of opening early 2006. With such a long construction phase, it is difficult to predict ahead of time exact opening dates. There have been some suggestions from people working on the project of an outside chance of some kind of soft (testing) opening in January 2006, although none of this is officially confirmed.
