Which is quietest, Easter or early June?

We are thinking of going 2007 and need to travel in school holidays (UK).

We were looking at one of the moderate hotels, not sure which, and have 4 adults and 2 kids aged 6 and 4. Maybe Port Orleans?? (Any advise?)

Anyhow, the main question is which is the better time to vist. Easter is around early April, or the next holiday break is the last week in May.

Which is quietest in the parks and is it very hot in May/June?

many thanks!!

No doubt about it, if you can come in May, the crowds will be a lot less than at Easter. Easter can be standing room only! It will be hotter in May than in April, and there may be the occasional rain shower, but the lack of crowds will more than make up for it. You will see more crowds if you happen to be here over Memorial Day weekend, which occurs the last Monday of the month, and is a three day weekend for US workers, but it is still much better than Easter. There is also an event known as Gay Days that typically occurs the first week in June. I happened to be there a couple times when it was going on, and it wasn%26#39;t a big deal, especially if you schedule your theme park visits around their scheduled park days (most of the parties take place at their host hotels, which are typically off property), but some families with young children prefer to know in advance rather than be surprised.

If you are considering a moderate resort, Port Orleans is my favorite. I prefer the French Quarter, but a lot of people prefer Riverside. French Quarter is more compact and Riverside is more spread out and landscaped. If you stay in one part, you can use all the facilities of both.

Agree with Fla4fun. May/June would be better. I%26#39;ve never been to French Quarters, but I%26#39;m a big fan of Port Orleans Riverside.

Definitely May! Of the three moderate resort choices the Port Orleans Riverside is my favorite and has been a forum favorite for awhile now.

thank you all for your help.

It looks like you generally agree that end may would be better than around Easter.

What are the pros/cons of the Riverside vs. French Q in PO?

We will have 2 children, aged 4/6, both get tired walking all day, does this mean we should go for French Q?

Opps also forgot to ask. How hot will it be at the end of May/first week in June?

The French Quarter would cut back on walking time if that is your main concern then I would book the FQ. The Riverside is located nearest the food court, fishin hole, and Ol%26#39;Man Island which would be great for your 4 and 6 year old. You may utilize both offerings at Riverside or FQ whereever you choose to stay.

The first week of June begins to get crowded as almost all the children are let out for summer break, however our district isn%26#39;t let out until the 4th this year. The Florida schools I believe begin their summer break the end of May.

Concerning the weather, the end of May beginning of June is generally around 90 degrees.

Just remember, with two young children you may want to avoid the first weekend of June since it is always gay and lesbian weekend at Disney.
