rental cars

I am staying four nights at the Marriott Harbor beach. I am apprehensive about renting a car. Although I think I can get a good deal on the car, parking at the hotel is at least 20 per day!

Will I need the car, will I burn up that much in cab fares to and from the airport and to shopping and nightlife. Also, any idea what a fare to hollywood would be? We plan to visit the Hard Rock Casino...

I%26#39;ve done both, cabs and car rentals. I prefer to rent a car it could be much cheaper in the long run.
