Indoor Activities

We will be in Miami this Saturday. As of right now, the 10 day forecast looks very rainy. That being said, aside from shopping, what kinds of indoor activities do you all recommend? We%26#39;ll be doing the restaurant and bar scene at night, of course.

Indoor Activities

If you are there early in the morning, I wouldn%26#39;t panic for there is a good chance it will be sunny early in the day. As the sun rises over the ocean, assuming their aren%26#39;t that many clouds, the beach warms up early. It is common that there is a haze in the early morning that burns off, lots of sun for a few hours and then clouds build up with rain in isolated areas.

Indoor Activities

I didn%26#39;t clarify, actually we will be there for a week. It looks rainy from Sat-Wed. :(

Unfotunately, most of our activities center around the outdoors, BUT here are some ideas.

They just opened up a Lucky Strike bowling alley over the summer. You can bowl, get food and have cocktails all at the same time. Call before and reserve lanes as it is very popular with the locals. www.bowlluckystrike.com

There%26#39;s also a great big movie theater (Regal Cinemas) at the West end of Lincoln Rd. I believe they have 18 screens there and lots to choose from.

Also, keep in mind that while it may be rainy in other parts of Miami, the Beach can still be dry. If it%26#39;s just afternoon showers, you can still get lots of shopping done on Lincoln Rd or Collins Ave with a good umbrella.

CMG has a great idea. Bowling can be fun and they have bars! I think the forecast you are seeing right now is because of hurrucane Rita but she seems to be moving pretty quick so I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much. It%26#39;s already going through Florida. I also think it%26#39;s too soon to look at forecasts. Weather chanes very quickly.

I wouldn%26#39;t worry too much about the weather.. I hope it will be sunny in the morning.. And I think I can handle a shower in the afternoon..

For some reason the weather usually works out better than forecasted, at least for me!! Keep in mind.. they are calling for ocassional showers and T-Storms.. with a chance of 30-40% a day.. With the temps around 90..

I think that%26#39;s pretty good..

im going to be in miami fri-sunday so i guess the tropical storm/hurricane didnt affect miami beach much? i was getting worried i%26#39;d have to canc. my plans...
