Boardwalk (Hollywood Beach)

The last time I was there, I couldn%26#39;t find the boardwalk in Hollywood Beach. What street does it start at, and is there free parking.

Boardwalk (Hollywood Beach)

Not sure there is free parking anywhere down there but there is a parking garage on Johnson St....near the Wings store. This will put you pretty much in the middle of the boardwalk.

Boardwalk (Hollywood Beach)

The B%26#39;walk starts just about in the Flowers streets section on the S side of the city. Further S the large condos have taken over. If you are driving from Hallandale BEach Blvd, toward beach, you need to get onto A1A and drive North. When you pass the Westin Diplomat, the Flowers (Iris %26amp; so on) start. But the B%26#39;Walk here usually has small old Apt Motels in the sand on the beach, so the water view is blocked. The asphalt (you are not looking for a wooden B%26#39;Walk are you?) begins to turn out to the ocean at the N end of the two big condos called the Summit. (BTW....the Broward Free Public Library has free computer access just before these bldgs on A1A beach side. Behind the two Summit bldgs %26amp; along its sides is also parking.

After the Summit complex, continuing N on A1A, there is parking down every street toward the ocean (the intracoastal is on the W side of A1A...so the parking runs along the streets on the east. This parking continues all the way North to almost the Diania Blvd IC Bridge. If you continue N, along A1A, a large cut rate parking garage is located at the end of Hollywoood Blvd, where the Ramada Hollywood Beach Resort %26amp; T/Ss are. Traveling further N, you will hit Johnson Street, and its large garage as mentioned above. (There is also parking on the streets). A parking area on Garfield seems to begin the change over from commercial small establishments to the S. and more residentail apt motels to the N. Chaney PArk is here, with daily entertainment (live) from the seniors. Next to part is a great Pizza place called Angelos (no credit cards), about 2 blocks S is Nicks, also a great place (yes on CC)...see reviews.

If you continue N, parking is available through Sheraton St, where is is a huge ocean front park with BBQs, benches, and a watchtower, further N, no facilities, but still parking, almost to the Dania Beach Blvd.

Unless you have an ID card with a handicapped tag on the car, parking is $.25 cents for 15 min. It has been (at times) cheaper in the bldg on the end of Hollywood Blvd.

I do not recomment the hotel their yet. Ramada took over a few years ago, but seem very slow to renovate %26amp; update. Much better is the newly rebuilt Marrriott (was the HoJo), for less...the Greenbriar, which has small apts beachfront for less that $100 a nite, brand new.

Hoped this helped.
